Need maintenance on your existing sports surface? Maintenance

Multi-Use Game Areas

When you don’t have the space for individual courts for every sport, a Multi-Use Game Area (MUGA) could well provide the solution. Here at Charles Lawrence Tennis Courts we can provide a full turnkey package in the design and construction of MUGAs.

A MUGA from Charles Lawrence Tennis Courts can give you a versatile, all-weather playing area that can be used for a variety of sports uses, such as:

The various artificial sports surfaces that we can offer on our MUGAs mean that they’re not just adaptable sports courts, they can also be used all year round. And many different organisations and facilities can benefit, which is why we offer:

To increase both the potential and revenue of a MUGA, floodlighting is essential to extend playing hours over the winter months.
We have designed and installed MUGAs for local authorities, the armed forces, parish councils, independent and state schools, sports clubs and private individuals

MUGA Construction

Charles Lawrence Tennis Courts offers a bespoke MUGA pitch construction service that includes an initial site survey and design to ensure that your MUGA makes best use of the available space and is tailored to meet your requirements.
As well as constructing your court, we will also take into account factors such as access, orientation and whether or not there may be planning permission issues concerning conservation areas, areas of outstanding natural beauty (AONB), neighbouring properties, etc.

Our MUGAs are built to meet the requirements and specifications of both Sport England and SAPCA (Sports and Play Contractors Association), the trade association for the sports surfacing industry of which we are Builder Members.
We also offer ongoing maintenance services, including MUGA cleaning, to ensure your court stays safe and in the best possible condition. Ideally, your court should be cleaned every 12 to 18 months, depending on its position – for example, a MUGA located close to trees or shaded by nearby building might become more susceptible to moss that would make the surface slippery. Our MUGA maintenance and cleaning services can make sure such issues are managed swiftly and effectively.

Benefits of MUGA Construction

Having a MUGA constructed at your school, leisure centre or play area brings a number of useful benefits to your users and community, including:

  • Easier access to more sports for more users
  • Cost-effective provision of a wider range of sports
  • Making exercise available to more of the community
  • Making more efficient use of leisure area space
  • Promoting a healthier lifestyle

MUGA Installation – Site Survey

Before doing anything else, we carry out a full site survey to assess the most effective solution for your organisation or facility. Our experienced team will discuss your needs, examine your facility and then design the MUGA that best meets your requirements and budget.

MUGA Resurfacing Repair & Maintenance

A MUGA from Charles Lawrence Tennis Courts is built to last, but over time issues can arise with the surface that might need attention from an expert if you want to get the longest possible life out of your court. We offer MUGA resurfacing and repair services to all our customers, as these will be a cheaper alternative to installing a new surface.

Charles Lawrence Tennis Courts has been constructing quality sports courts since 1982, with satisfied customers all across the UK. To find out more about MUGA construction and installation, contact us today.
